Filter covered during nonsampling

The TE-8550 Sampl-Saver option is used on any TSP High Volume Lead Sample for fugitive dust reduction. It is recommended in The Code of Federal Regulations Appendix B to Part 50 (6.7 nonsampled particulate matter) for aiding in the quality of air sampling. As illustrated above the advantages of this system are as follows:

Automatically covers the filter to protect the sample at the end of the sampling period.

Retracts automatically from the covered position prior to the start of the sampling period.

Prevents transient dust accumulation on the filter media while sampler is not running.

Self contained unit fits within all Tisch aluminum shelters without extensive modifications

Retracted position provides for normal air flow to the filter holder during the sampling operation.

Modular construction facilitates retrofitting existing Tisch systems equipped with 8: x 10" filter holders

Electrically powered chain driven centered between guide bars assures positive positioning.

All components and drive system encased in aluminum housing for maintenance free operation.
