The TE-5001-10 Gabled Roof Assembly provides essential weather protection for Tisch Environmental's high volume air samplers, including TSP, PM10, and PM2.5 sampling systems. This anodized aluminum gabled roof assembly is designed to allow particulate matter to be drawn onto the filter from all four sides while protecting the sampling equipment from the elements.
Design and Protection
The rugged construction of this outdoor roof assembly allows it to withstand the elements with minimal maintenance. The gabled design provides effective water runoff while maintaining the aerodynamic integrity required for accurate particulate sampling. The roof assembly ships in a 19" x 14" x 14" lid box weighing 9 lbs.
Compatibility
The TE-5001-10 is compatible with all Tisch Environmental high volume air sampler shelter systems, including:
- TE-5000 High Volume TSP Monitor systems
- TE-5170DV-BL TSP VFC sampler with TE-5001 Anodized Aluminum Shelter
- TE-5170-V Volumetric Flow Controlled (VFC) Air Sampler systems
- All TSP, PM10, and PM2.5 high volume air samplers using TE-5001 shelter assemblies
The roof assembly includes mounting hardware connections for secure installation with the shelter system. Additional mounting hardware (TE-5001-10-6) may be required for specific installations and is available separately.
Installation Notes
The gabled roof is removed from the lid box and installed as part of the complete sampler assembly process. Proper installation includes securing the rear lid hasp inside the lid with the slot angled up using the provided pan head screws with stop nuts, which may need adjustment after final assembly.
The roof assembly is engineered to maintain the aerodynamic performance required for EPA-compliant ambient air quality monitoring while providing long-term protection for sampling equipment in outdoor environments.
